Pequi 100 caroço: criação e experiência literária

Abstract

This work addresses Creative Writing as a proposal capable of guiding and developing the writer's skills through directed theoretical study and immersive practice in fictional writing, essential elements for literary training. It also presents the theory of the short story and its historical context, as well as some aspects of the causo, both as literary genres. Furthermore, it explains space and character, essential elements for narrative development. Thus, it presents the place, as well as the subjective and intrinsic aspect that this environment can represent, in addition to the relationship it establishes with the character, the plot, and other elements present in the text. Therefore, the dissertation is structured in five topics, beginning with the introduction. The second chapter is a brief study of the short story genre and relevant aspects of the causo. It also discusses the role of space and character in narrative construction. The third chapter consists of an essay discussing Creative Writing, the literary journey in the writing of Pequi 100 caroço, and the answers found to the following questions: What is it? Where did it originate? Which countries have a tradition in Creative Writing? How did Creative Writing emerge in Brazil? Which universities were pioneers and what are the main references for Creative Writing in Brazil? The fourth chapter consists of the work itself, Pequi 100 caroço. And the final chapter contains the concluding remarks of the work.
