Educação especial: uma reflexão sobre a inclusão nas últimas três décadas no estado do Tocantins

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the evolution of normative documents regarding the inclusion of students with special educational needs in the State of Tocantins over the past three decades, through a bibliographic research approach that will address public policies, pedagogical practices, and theoretical perspectives adopted during this period. The research question posed is: *What would be the normative document on inclusive policy in the State of Tocantins? * The study will include a literature review on inclusive and special education, an assessment of the current state of inclusion in Tocantins, and final considerations with suggestions for improving inclusion in special education within the state. The importance of this study lies in the need to understand the role of special education in promoting the inclusion of students with special needs in Tocantins, with the goal of planning and implementing more effective and inclusive public policies. Inclusive and special education are crucial pillars for ensuring the right to quality education for all individuals, regardless of their differences and needs, and are fundamental for building a more just and inclusive society in Tocantins.
