Literatura Infanto-Juvenil: Os marcos significativos da literatura, evidenciando a importância da formação leitora dos estudantes da Escola Municipal Nercilene Rocha, no município de Lavandeira/TO, 2024

Abstract

This final course work has as its object of study literature in schools. A subject of extreme importance for the development of all human beings at all stages. Literature and its impact on the lives of children, adolescents and young people at the Nercilene Rocha Municipal School in the municipality of Lavandeira-Tocantins, where the purpose was to understand how teachers work with books in the classroom, what topics they cover, and whether all children are interested in literature regardless of the topic. The intention was to observe the impact of literature on the formation of new readers at the school under our study. The specific objectives were to identify whether the school's reading room has a good structure and whether the books meet the needs of other age groups and literary diversification, to investigate whether the school's teachers work with literature and which literary works were presented to children, adolescents and young people during the period in which we were at school. This theme was chosen because the researcher lives in the city and knows the school, but was not very close to the students, so getting closer to the students and the literature offered to them at school is very interesting. The theoretical framework used was Joseane Maia (2007), Fanny Abramovich (1989), Paulo Freire (1989), Célia Firmino (2006). Regarding Afro-Brazilian literature, we have Conceição Evaristo (2007) and Inaldete Pinheiro de Andrade (2001), in addition to highlighting stories by other authors. The methodology consisted of qualitative research, with an interview with one of the school's teachers, accessing the literary collections in the reading room
