metadata.dc.description.resumo: Por se tratar de povos marcados pela exclusão social, lutas e resistência, os remanescentes quilombolas viram na educação superior um meio para se inserir no mercado profissional, buscar por melhorias e qualidade de vida para as famílias, visando contribuir para o crescimento e desenvolvimento da comunidade através de sua formação. Nesse contexto, o estudo teve como objetivo analisar como o ensino superior contribui a inserção no mercado de trabalho dos remanescentes da comunidade quilombola de Cocalinho no município de Santa Fe do Araguaia/TO. Especificamente buscou descrever o perfil socioeconômico e suas condições de trabalho na comunidade Quilombola de Cocalinho e identificar de que forma o acesso ao ensino superior contribuiu para a inserção no mercado profissional. A pesquisa é classificada como estudo de caso com abordagem qualitativa e natureza aplicada. Os dados foram coletados através de questionário com remanescentes da comunidade de Cocalinho, onde foram identificadas as dificuldades enfrentadas no período de formação e a contribuição do ensino superior para inserção no mercado de trabalho, aparte de dados da pesquisa pode-se identificar que os objetivos propostos foram alcançados na medida que uma parcela dos remanescentes quilombolas de cocalinho que tem o ensino superior estão inserido no mercado de trabalho possibilitando o desenvolvimento e crescimento socioeconômico da comunidade quilombola
Abstract: Because they are peoples marked by social exclusion, struggles and resistance, the remaining quilombolas saw in higher education a means to enter the professional market, seek improvements and quality of life for families, aiming to contribute to the growth and development of the community. through their training. In this context, the study aimed to analyze how higher education contributes to the insertion in the labor market of the remnants of the quilombola community of Cocalinho in the municipality of Santa Fe do Araguaia/TO. Specifically, it sought to describe the socioeconomic profile and their working conditions in the Quilombola community of Cocalinho and identify how access to higher education contributed to their insertion in the professional market. The research is classified as a case study with a qualitative approach and applied nature. Data were collected through a questionnaire with remnants of the Cocalinho community, where the difficulties faced in the training period and the contribution of higher education to insertion in the labor market were identified, apart from the research data, it can be identified that the proposed objectives were achieved as a portion of the remaining cocalinho quilombolas who have higher education are inserted in the labor market, enabling the development and socioeconomic growth of the quilombola community
