Abstract

This article aims to address the children's literature of elementary school I from the reading of Irma Galhardo in times of pandemic with remote classes in school units of the municipal network of Porto Nacional / TO. We believe that the best way to alleviate problems with the ecosystem is to raise awareness and practical teaching of environmental education with students even at the beginning of schooling. In this way we intend to seek alternatives so that

the teaching of environmental education and regional literature can be present in the day-to- day of our school units in the municipal network of Porto Nacional / TO, in this way we will

be preparing our students for the near future, because we know the real need to preserve the environment as a whole. We must be concerned with what currently happens with the environment and seek alternatives so that the teaching of environmental education and regional literature can be present in fact in the students' daily lives. As a methodology, we will use bibliographic and field research through interviews and a questionnaire with teachers of elementary education I and with the writer from Tocantins, Irma Galhardo. The education professionals who participated in this work reported that the environment theme is more present in remote classes than they were in the classroom, because the family's experience spending more time together at home requires greater care. And the rapprochement with the teachers and the writer, Irma Galhardo, brought us greater visibility regarding the use of literature, mainly, which leads the child to understand and learn more about the environment.
