Centros de atenção psicossocial e as relações de gênero: Uma revisão integrativa de literatura

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the approaches to gender relations in the scientific production of Brazilian psychology on CAPS, discussing the role of psychology in the face of the suffering experienced by female CAPS users and the repercussions of the social markers of difference on their mental health and subjectivities. The methodology used will be an integrative review of the scientific literature, of a qualitative-descriptive nature, whose searches were carried out on the PePSIC and SciELO databases. The analysis of the studies identified and separated them into 3 thematic categories: Gender in User Profiles: An Analysis of their (mis)use; Interweaving: Care, Gender and the Family in the Web of Mental Health and Gender and Women in Psychological Practice. The results indicated the scarcity of the term "gender" in studies on the differences between men and women in mental health, highlighting the prevalence of the use of "biological sex". In addition, the discussion on the transformation of mental health paradigms, the role of the family in care and the importance of the relationship between the health team and the family stand out. With an emphasis on the connection between gender and care, especially the role of women in informal mental health care. It concludes with the importance of intersectionality and an inclusive approach in professional practice, highlighting the urgency of deepening the discussion on gender in the scientific production of psychology in CAPS.
