O Serviço Social na educação básica: limites e desafios postos à atuação profissional

Abstract

This Undergraduate Thesis (TCC), entitled "Social Service in basic education: limits and challenges to professional performance," aims to analyze the specialized bibliography on the inclusion of social workers in multidisciplinary teams in basic education, in order to understand the limitations and challenges posed to the implementation of the federal law that regulates the topic. In addition, the specific objectives are focused on presenting and discussing the links between Social Work and education. In addition to identifying in the literature the challenges and limits placed on the performance of the Social Work professional, as well as understanding the process of insertion of this professional in basic education in the municipality of Miracema do Tocantins. For the analysis proposed here, the bibliographic and documentary research was fundamental. In this sense, the analysis highlights the importance of the work of the assistant in basic education by strengthening the links between school, community, students and social protection network through the integration between different public policies. However, the biggest challenge is the constitution of the teams, since at the municipal level the professionals are hired, this causes job instability and discontinuity of the work developed.
