Abstract

The theme of this article is “the paths of sustainability with the conscious disposal of cartridges: a study carried out with the Municipal Education Department of Araguaína – TO”. It is a work that initially presents a literature review that contemplates relevant concepts and understandings about the proposed theme, presenting its essentiality in general. As a way of emphasizing the approach carried out here, the results achieved with a survey carried out at the Municipal Education Department of the city of Araguaína in the state of Tocantins are shown in the second part of this work, which demonstrates through graphics and flowcharts the impacts brought to the functioning of the secretariat with the adoption of measures for the disposal of electronic waste such as printer cartridges that will no longer be used or recharged by members of SEMED Araguaína. As a result, it is demonstrated that the adoption of actions such as these positively influence the preservation of the environment and the social and environmental responsibility both of organizations responsible for selling cartridges and of entities belonging to the government.
