| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | O estágio curricular é a oportunidade para o acadêmico no último período de Medicina Veterinária colocar em prática os conhecimentos adquiridos durante o curso de graduação. É crescente a procura por profissionais para desenvolver atividades de clínica cirúrgica e reprodução de grandes animais, ressaltando a necessidade de qualificação para a área. Nesse contexto, a doença dos dígitos em bovinos mostra-se como um importante elo na cadeia produtiva, tanto na bovinocultura de leite quanto na bovinocultura de corte, sendo responsável por diversas perdas econômicas e prejudicando o bem-estar animal. Logo, o conhecimento da anatomia da porção distal dos membros dos bovinos e a clareza da etiologia, profilaxia e tratamento das diversas lesões é de suma importância para o profissional Veterinário. Este trabalho relata a vivência clínica do estágio supervisionado na realidade da região norte do estado do Tocantins, assim como traz uma revisão de literatura acerca das doenças podais em bovinos. |
| Abstract: | The curricular internship is the opportunity for the academic in the last period of Veterinary Medicine to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the undergraduate course. There is a growing demand for professionals to develop activities of surgical clinic and reproduction of large animals, highlighting the need for qualification to the area. In this context, the disease of digits in cattle shows itself as an important link in the production chain, both in dairy and beef cattle, being responsible for several economic losses and harming animal welfare. Therefore, knowledge of the anatomy of the distal portion of the bovine limbs and the clarity of the etiology, prophylaxis and treatment of the various lesions have great importance for the veterinary professional. This work reports the clinical experience of the supervised internship in the reality of the northern region of the state of Tocantins, as well as a literature review about foot diseases in cattle. |
