Abstract

Considering that this study is justified by its great importance in being able to contribute to the expansion of the honey market, thus benefiting the small producers of honey belonging to family farming, it was researched about honey distribution channels: a study with small farmers in the Nazaré / TO, in order to demonstrate how the distribution channels can help the small producers of honey in the aforementioned municipality, benefiting the expansion of the honey market. Therefore, it was necessary to point out the main distribution channels of honey, to evaluate how the distribution channels can help small producers and to propose distribution strategies that can assist in the expansion of the honey market. A field research with a descriptive and qualitative approach was then performed. Given this, it appears that there is a good amount of honey production with a high demand, and there are already projects to increase production the following year and that with the implementation of a cooperative will be possible to certify the production they need to sell their products on a larger scale, which means that distribution channels can help small honey farmers to expand sales and thus increase production.
