dc.description.abstractThe study arose from the need for greater knowledge involving a secular tradition, where devotion to being a reveler and a rescue from the past is one of the main marks for the execution of the same. In this sense, one of the pillars of this project is to appreciate the cultural manifestations of Monte do Carmo - To, mainly focused on the devotion of the reveler in the tour of the revelry through the sertão and in the city. Its main objective is to support the cultural and geographic structure of the faith and devotion of the revelry tours of the Divino Espirito Santo in Monte do Carmo, as well as to understand the importance of this demonstration of tradition for the cultural yearning. Having as methodological procedures the execution of a thorough bibliographic review with topics such as cultural geography, which is one of the pillars for the production of this project, and an interview conducted by the academic of this project to the revelers who make the revelry happen. In this way, we conclude by thinking about what is important for the party in the city, seeing that it is necessary to reflect on the importance of the role of the reveler within the context of the party, being he the flagship of this culture rich in songs, dances and with manifestations of faith and devotion in the act and love of being reveler at the feast of the Divine Holy Spirit.pt_BR

dc.description.resumoO estudo surgiu da necessidade de maiores conhecimentos envolvendo uma tradição secular, onde a devoção em ser folião e um resgate ao passado é uma das marcas principais para a execução do mesmo. Nesse sentido, um dos pilares desse projeto é prezar pelas manifestações culturais de Monte do Carmo – TO, principalmente voltada para a devoção do folião em nos giros da folia pelo sertão e na cidade. Tem por objetivo principal fundamentar a estrutura cultural e geográfica da fé e da devoção dos giros da folia do Divino Espirito Santo em Monte do Carmo, bem como entender a importância desta demonstração de tradição para o anseio cultural. Tendo como procedimentos metodológicos a execução de uma revisão bibliográfica minuciosa com tópicos como a geografia cultural, que é um dos pilares para produção deste projeto, e uma entrevista realizada pela acadêmica deste projeto aos foliões que fazem a folia acontecer. Deste modo, conclui-se pensando no que importante para a festa na cidade, vendo que é necessário refletir sobre a importância do papel do folião dentro do contexto da festa, sendo ele o carro chefe dessa cultura rica em cantos, danças e com manifestações de fé e devoção no ato e amor de ser folião da festa do Divino Espirito Santo.pt_BR
