Desafios indígenas na educação formal e no ensino superior: reflexões a partir da história de vida

Abstract

This course completion paper, which I present in the first person, began as long as my life story associated with formal education, from literacy in Portuguese, to the completion of the social work course at UFT. The objective was to present my trajectory and reflect on the relationship between the indigenous and education, considering it as a tool of liberation. In the first and only chapter I told my story about school education, interspersing experiences in the village and the city and finally at the university. This is a story of many people who, like me, faced the challenge of living between two cultures and did not fade in the face of distances, prejudice, deprivation and exclusion. I could not tell this trajectory in the third person, because I am talking about what I lived, felt, thought, faced and surpassed. I defend the right to be present in this part of the work, as I claim the right to my history and the history of my people.
