| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | A questão agrária e o conflito no campo sempre foi e ainda é um desafio para o Brasil e seus Estados federativos. No Tocantins o Movimento de Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra – MST e a Comissão Pastoral da Terra – CPT são os principais atores que apoiam a luta pela terra a favor dos pequenos produtores. Com a pressão social por uma efetiva reforma agrária no estado, os latifundiários usam do conflito e da violência contra os trabalhadores rurais para que a criação de novos assentamentos não ocorra. Assim, esta pesquisa teve por objetivo analisar os conflitos e a violência agrária ocorridos no Estado do Tocantins durante os anos de 2016 a 2019. Para a aproximação do objeto de estudos utilizamos a pesquisa bibliográfica na elaboração do referencial teórico. Como técnica de coleta de dados foi utilizado a pesquisa bibliográfica e a entrevista. Os resultados apontam que as ameaças contra a vida dos trabalhadores rurais e a destruição de suas casas e plantações são bastante frequentes no Estado. |
| Abstract: | Land question and conflict in the countryside has always been and still is a challenge for Brazil and its federative states. In Tocantins, the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) and the CPT are the main actors supporting the struggle for land in favor of small farmers. With the social pressure for an effective agrarian reform in the state, the landowners use of the conflict and the violence against the rural workers so that the creation of new settlements does not occur. The objective of this research was to analyze the conflicts and agrarian violence that occurred in the State of Tocantins during the years 2016 to 2019. In order to approach the subject of studies, we used bibliographical research in the elaboration of the theoretical reference. As a data collection technique, the bibliographic research and the interview were used. The results indicate that threats to the lives of rural workers and the destruction of their homes and plantations are quite frequent in the state. |
