metadata.dc.description.resumo:	Esta pesquisa relatar as condições do aterro sanitário do município de Palmeiras do Tocantins – TO que faz parte de uma parceria formada pelo Consórcio Intermunicipal ADP e pelo CESTE (Consórcio Estreito Energia), que entrou em funcionamento em 2015 e que até hoje encontra-se inacabado e recebendo os resíduos irregularmente. Com vista a conduzir o trabalho que possui uma análise qualitativa optou-se pelo método indutivo e pelas técnicas de pesquisa descritiva e bibliográfica as quais contaram com a observação e a entrevista. Apresenta ainda, dados sobre a situação do lixo no Brasil e legislação pertinente ao assunto concluindo que há muito por se fazer quanto a efetivação das propostas relacionadas às parcerias formadas e ao destino dos resíduos que poderão ser revertidos em trabalho e renda para a população local além de minimizarem seus efeitos ao meio ambiente.
Abstract:	This research explains the conditions of the landfill of the municipality of Palmeiras do Tocantins - TO, which is part of a partnership formed by the Intermunicipal Consortium ADP and by CESTE (Consortium Estreito Energy), which came into operation in 2015 and which until today is found unfinished and receiving the waste irregularly. In order to conduct the work that has a qualitative analysis we chose the inductive method and the techniques of descriptive and bibliographic research which counted on the observation and the interview. It also presents data on the state of the garbage in Brazil and legislation relevant to the subject, concluding that there is much to be done regarding the effectiveness of the proposals related to the formed partnerships and the destination of the waste that can be reverted in labor and income to the local population in addition to Minimize their effects to the environment.
